From meeting us at the venue in the lead up, to discuss the order of the day and camera placements, to advising us on music choices for the final DVD he could not have been more conscientious or helpful. On the day Martin arrived early to capture both the grounds and the morning build up ahead of the ceremony, he was professional and unimposing throughout the entire day while still managing to capture a wide variety of angles and shots with his considered camera placements (both static and mobile). We truly forgot he was there and as a result the footage is wonderfully natural. Martin went out of his way to deliver the final edit to us with a very short turn around and we couldn’t be happier the final film which captures some lovely moments set to a beautifully orchestrated soundtrack. When I first met Martin his enthusiasm and bespoke service gave us such great confidence that we would gain a very memorable record of our big day. It was beyond expectations, reliving each moment as if it was a fly on the wall documentary, with extremely professional editing. Incredible! The standard of his work is exceptional, and he has the ability to ‘smell’ the essence of the event, taking time to find out exactly the characters of the people involved and using that knowledge to recreate something that is astoundingly near to watching the occasion whilst not actually being there! Martin uses many different techniques to highlight poignant scenes of the day, picking out humour and emotive moments with great sensitivity, and finding these gems which we had not realised had happened! He dovetails chosen music to perfection, dubbing over and interlacing with voices, to recreate and expand the atmosphere. Our DVD arrived a week after our wedding, and we played it three times before the evening had ended. It included parts that each other had not had the opportunity to see, and showed beautiful scenes including our vows, the ring moment, first kiss, personal speeches and first dance, that no stills camera could ever reproduce. We can only say don’t miss out on this, the stills are wonderful and beautiful, but this high calibre film is a legacy to hand down, a replica of the day in action in all its shining glory, and one that is so close to how the day was. We cried when we saw ours, it was as if we had the opportunity to do it all again. On the down side, we had to order multiple copies as the demand for them has been high!
