About us

The Institute of Videography was set up in 1984 as a response to the prevailing poor standards in the non-broadcast sector, and in particular wedding and events productions.

Having gained formal Institute status the IOV has concentrated since that time on creating a community of video production professionals who take seriously the development not only of high level technical skills but of the highest standards of customer service skills.
